Emmaus House welcomes groups from both our local area and from further afield. In the past year we’ve enjoyed groups staying for several days, sharing in our community life: the L’Arche UK committee, students from the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, Canadian pilgrims walking the St Cuthbert’s Way, boys from a school/orphanage in Palestine, youth workers from both sides of the Irish border, to name a few.
More locally groups using the house for the day have included, parish Mothers’ Union groups, church ministry teams, an Alpha Course group, local spiritual directors, university chaplains and the like.
We’re happy to offer lunch for day visitors – both groups and individuals. Our comfortable group size for using the house for one day is around 12-15. For overnight accommodation our maximum capacity is 15 persons. Evening meal available. Group rates on application.
