Rosslyn Chapel

Rosslyn Chapel

Since opening three years ago we have particularly valued visits by pilgrimage and other groups from the USA and Canada. We’re happy to facilitate group visits and to advise on places to visit both locally and further afield. Emmaus House has often been a stopover place for groups en route to Rosslyn Chapel (made famous by Dan Brown’s “Da Vinci Code”), the sacred islands of Iona and Lindisfarne (Holy Island), the Border Abbeys and elsewhere. Our chaplain, Andrew, is happy to give talks to groups on Celtic spirituality and on the Celtic saints whose stories still inspire Christians and other seekers today.

Our sitting room/library is available to groups for meetings and discussion. The house chapel and labyrinth offer opportunities for

reflection as well as participation in worship – both services which groups may wish to hold for themselves, and the community’s daily round of Morning and Night Prayer, celebrations of the Eucharist and so on.
